These soap nuts are the dried and seeded berries of the Sapindus mukorossi tree. They are the plant that has the highest amount of saponin, or natural soap, on the planet.. They are the most natural and organic way to clean laundry, surfaces and windows. This container is a sample size so you can try them to get a good feel for how amazing they are. To use for laundry, place 6 of the berries in the provided draw string bag, add to the wash and go through the cycle. Remove before drying. No need to add ANYTHING else. Re-use the bag until the berries get soft and squishy, about 6 uses per bag. Then, remove berries to a recycled qt container and fill with water. Let sit for a few weeks, agitating once in a while. Add to a spray bottle and use. Oh, they also soften fabric. To use for surface cleaning, use 4 berries and add to a qt jar. fill with water and let soak for a few weeks. Transfer to a spray bottle and dilute by 2/3rds to 1/2 half. Do not ingest or spray in face.
